Music Practice Initial Review Lesson
The music practice initial review lesson will begin with an in depth review of you, your playing and your ambitions. We will assess you as a musician. Where are you now? What do you want to do? What do you know? How do you currently use your practice time?
We will then progress into an observation session where we can see what you're doing, how you're doing it and why you are doing it. This together with a review discussion is an important part of the recommendations we will make for you going forwards.
Based upon this session, our discussions and the information you provided at the start we will make some clear written feedback on how you can improve your practice. This will not be generic advice but tailored to you, your current ability and your goals. We will tell you what needs to improve, we'll also discuss what you're good at and how those areas also might improve.
What does the initial review include:
- A detailed review of your lesson application by one of our experts
- Requests to you for follow-on detail
- 30 minute practice observation session
- 15 minute live Q&A session
- Written review and feedback
- Goal clarification
- Specific practice suggestions for you to take forward
- Wider suggestions for musical development
- Final review and feedback
Following this detailed review of your practice you will be very clear on what you want to achieve and the methods that you can use to get there.
Follow up lessons
Further practice lessons can be booked but will only take place after an initial review lesson. During the course of the initial review we shall discuss options for continued practice lessons.
How Do I Book a Lesson

- A completed Initial Lesson Review Form
Once we have these we will contact you directly to gather further information and to book an observation session.
