Online practice sessions

Why not use the HTP specialist via an online practice session. Here we can listen to or view a typical practice session in progress then offer guidance and advice on how to work on certain areas of your approach. We will either review footage of a practice session sent in or view a normal practice session across the internet and provide guidance tailored for your specific issues.

Practice Workshops

Now HTP can bring their expertise into your school or college through a dedicated Practice workshop. There are three types of workshop that we deliver. The first is aimed at the aspiring music students. This looks at effective practice techniques and how to keep your practice fresh and focussed without becoming a chore. During a workshop we review a live session and provide guidance on how to deal with various issues including keeping practice interesting and maintaining enthusiasm.

The second Workshop is primarily for Music teachers and explores aspects of how to teach good practice techniques and suggests ways in which teachers can inspire their students . Practical examples, illustrations and case studies would typically be used during the workshop, looking at pupil types and also examining the more common issues that come up with whilst teaching. A key element of this discussion is that different techniques work for different people on that there is no on-size fits all approach.

The Third workshop is for Parents. This area is often overlooked in relation to the student and their music practice. The one area in which a music teacher has no involvement is the home practice environment. This looks at the best ways for parents to support and encourage their children with their music practice at home plus, breaks the myth that parents need to have some musical knowledge.

For further details of these workshops please contact HTP directly for pricing and availability.
