A practice future?

It's been a bit quiet here at HTP lately, don't worry we're not going anywhere Smile We've just been giving some thought to the direction the site should take in the future.

Since we began this site in 2006 there have been some fundamental changes to the way that people digest information online. Back then no one had even heard of facebook or twitter and interactive content was very limited. Fast forward to 2011 and we have the ability to develop highly interactive sites that are available on a multitude of devices from anywhere.

These factors are all in our thinking as we move forward with the site. Whilst we work on new functionality and ideas you can still access all our great content and buy our fantastic Music Practice Diary.

If you have any ideas for great content, new features or practice aids that you'd like to see we'd love to hear about them in the comments below.

Enjoy your practice!

HTP is For Sale

Are you extremely passionate about practice?

Do you want to help thousands of people enjoy music more?

Then How To Practice could be for you.

Due to work commitments the current team here at HTP are no longer able to actively maintain the website and are therefore seeking someone with a passion for practice to take on and develop the site.

As well as the huge archive of material on the website the new owners will get ownership of the whole family of howtopractice domain names, a large collection of practice based books, stock of around 10,000 music practice diaries, site code and database, user database, affiliate details and a whole host of other related information.

The best news of all for a potential buyer is that the current owners are not looking to make a profit from the sale. The price paid will reflect stock and materials only. The more important criteria is that you can show you will actively contribute to online music practice resources.

If you are interested then please contact us for more information.

Enjoy your practice!

Music Practice Lessons

Music Practice LessonsDo you need to give your practice a kick start?

Are you dedicated but don't know where to turn next?

Not getting the practice help you need from your current teacher?

With the practice lessons service from howtopractice you can now receive individually tailored lessons to take your practice to the next level. We will not confuse you with technical discussions nor will we get involved in deep musical analysis. We will however help you get the most out of each and every practice session, allow you to get more done in less time and progress faster towards your musical dreams.

Our lessons are not intended to replace instrumental lessons. Your teacher is a specialist on your instrument (or should be) and is therefore best placed to guide you on the finer detail of it's technique. However, in the vast majority of cases they are not experts in practice. Our lessons are like theory, aural and history in that they complement your other lessons and make you a more rounded musician.  Read more . . .
