Do you use technology (either hardware or software) to set, plan, track, monitor or makes notes about your music practice?

Technology is important

I voted yes. Technology is indeed important and beneficial to us music teachers. For more than five years, I have been using Music Teachers Helper, a web-based computer program that takes my frustration out of managing your studio. It helps me handle everything from billing and lesson schedules, to communication and tax reports. They also provide useful tips and resources in music teaching thru their blog site.

Re: Do you use technology (either hardware or software) to set,

I'm a subscriber to that site myself :) The issue at the moment for me is that whilst I would like to move towards a technology solution this does rely on all students having access to that technology. This is not always the case for some of the poorer students I teach. Do you have this issue? I would also be concerned that I could record/send lesson notes but am still reliant on the pupil completing/filling in their part. How do you manage this? For me until I can have a system that works across the board, I'll be using diaries for pupils and technology to track 'internal' stuff. Thanks for your thoughts.
