About giazz

Name:
Gia Volterra de Saulnier
About Me:

Hi!
My background is a little diverse, so I'll start at the beginning.
I learned music as early as 2nd grade playing recorder and then on to flute as early as age 11.
I've learned Classical music and then fell in love with Jazz Music by the time I went to College. Talk about a change of pace. Jazz has a lot of practice too, but Classical was so strict where Jazz was not. I've played in numerous bars and open mike nights all around the New England area for years when I was younger, and then I met my husband who performs doing Renaissance Faires. Yes, that is another genre of music to learn.
I have been doing that now for 9 years (plus) and now training volunteers how to sing songs and perform for big audiences with our Festival we have been putting on for the last 3 years (and going next year too). We try our best to take people that are afraid of singing or not sure of themselves to go outside of that "box" and have fun with singing silly songs or about Old Irish or English Drinking songs and soon they start to have a lot of fun.
